Agartala, March 07, 2026: In a significant boost to rural entrepreneurship and Self Help Group (SHG) initiatives in Tripura, a tea cafeteria of NatureliQ, a tea brand run by Milong Tea NFC, was inaugurated on Saturday at Milong under Chandipur RD Block in Unakoti district.

The cafeteria was formally inaugurated by Tripura Minister Tinku Roy on the busy NH-8 (Radhanagar–Kailashahar Road), marking a new milestone for the SHG-led enterprise supported by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM).

NatureliQ was formed by a group of SHG members under the guidance of TRLM and under the close supervision of Sri Arghya Saha, TCS-I, ADM and Collector of Unakoti district. The initiative aims to empower rural women and promote locally produced tea products through organized marketing and entrepreneurship.

The NatureliQ brand was officially launched just a year ago on March 4, 2025, by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha at the Chandipur BDO office. Since its launch, the SHG members associated with the brand have actively participated in several fairs and promotional programmes including the popular SARAS Mela in Agartala as well as exhibitions in Hyderabad, Pecharthal and other locations.

Officials said the opening of the tea cafeteria reflects the consistent efforts of the NFC members and the sustained support provided by TRLM through Chandipur BMMU and Unakoti DMMU.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Tinku Roy appreciated the dedication of the SHG members and emphasized that such grassroots initiatives are vital for strengthening rural livelihoods and women’s economic empowerment. He expressed hope that the cafeteria would attract travelers along NH-8 and help popularize the NatureliQ brand further.

Located strategically along the national highway, the newly inaugurated cafeteria will serve tea and snacks to visitors and commuters. Local residents and travelers have been invited to visit the outlet and experience the locally produced tea products prepared by the SHG members.

The initiative is being seen as a model example of how SHGs, with institutional support and sustained effort, can transform small local ventures into promising rural enterprises.
