Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday carried out a comprehensive review of arrangements in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Sikkim. The exercise was conducted in the presence of Member of Parliament Sambit Patra, along with ministers, MLAs, political secretaries, the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police, secretaries, and other senior officials.
The review included detailed inspections of designated venues, with emphasis placed on operational readiness and seamless coordination among departments to ensure the successful conduct of the Prime Minister’s engagements.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Gangtok on April 27 for a two-day visit to the Himalayan state. His program includes a roadshow on the day of arrival, followed by participation in a function at Paljor Stadium on April 28. The event will mark the conclusion of the year-long celebrations commemorating 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood.
