Agartala, April 27, 2026: Tripura’s Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy participated in a high-level “Thinking Camp” held in Srinagar, where key discussions focused on strengthening India’s sports ecosystem.
The camp was attended by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya along with ministers from various states and Union Territories. Highlighting the significance of the meeting, Roy stated that both the Centre and states have agreed to work collectively towards developing a strong, modern, and inclusive sports infrastructure across the country.

He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to transform India into a global sports powerhouse by 2047. Roy added that coordinated efforts between different levels of government will play a crucial role in achieving this ambitious goal.

The “Thinking Camp” served as a crucial platform for collaboration, paving the way for strategic planning and unified action in the sports sector nationwide.
