Agartala, July 31, 2025: In a major push towards enhancing farmers’ welfare, the Government of Tripura has announced that a total sum of ₹45.43 crore will be disbursed to beneficiaries under the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) on August 2.

Making the announcement on Wednesday, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “It is through the tireless efforts and determination of our farmers that Tripura is steadily progressing in the field of agriculture. The upcoming PM-KISAN installment will further support their financial security.”

The disbursement will be part of a nationwide transfer to farmers’ accounts, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to initiate from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, at 11 AM on August 2.

Minister Nath added that the state-level event marking the occasion will be held at the State Agriculture Research Station in AD Nagar, where he will be present to hear the Prime Minister’s address along with farmers and officials.

“The central and state governments are working together to empower farmers. On August 2, ₹45.43 crore will be directly credited to the bank accounts of PM-KISAN beneficiaries in Tripura. I urge farmers across the state to gather at their respective villages and Krishi Vigyan Kendras to listen to the Prime Minister’s address,” the minister said.

He also highlighted that Prime Minister Modi is expected to interact directly with farmers during the event, adding, “This government is committed to standing by our farmers — not just today, but always.”
