Agartala, August 02, 2025: The Sanatani Hindu Sena celebrated its foundation day on Saturday at the Muktadhara Auditorium Hall in Agartala city. SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das, the organization’s founder Tapas Majumder and several key representatives and members of the Sena were present.
Addressing the gathering and media personnel, Minister Das praised the efforts of Tapas Majumder in establishing the organization and emphasized its core mission. “The Sanatani Hindu Sena was created with the objective of awakening religious consciousness among Hindus, highlighting the injustices faced by our community especially Hindu minorities and protecting our daughters from threats like ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Land Jihad’,” said Das.
Das expressed deep appreciation for those working with the Sena, calling their dedication “selfless and rare in today’s self-centred world.” He added, “It is heartening to see individuals working for the betterment of society and Dharma without seeking personal gain.”
Touching upon recent incidents of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, the Minister pointed to internal disunity as a root cause. “Wherever Hindus are in the minority, they are vulnerable. But often, this suffering is the result of our own disunity and lack of introspection. We must reflect on why we are being forced to leave our ancestral lands,” he said.
In a strong appeal for political neutrality within the community, Das cited Israel as an example of unwavering national unity. “Israel, with just 90 lakh people, continues to stand tall for its survival without political divisions. In our case, divisions based on party lines like CPI-M and Congress have fragmented us. This must change,” he asserted.
He concluded his speech by urging Hindus to rise above politics and dedicate themselves to Dharma. “If you believe in Dharma, live by it. If you don’t, continue as you are,” Das remarked, leaving the audience with a call for collective reflection and action.
