In a joint operation conducted late Monday night, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested three individuals at Agartala Railway Station and seized 3.24 kg of dry cannabis.

The narcotics were concealed in a large carry bag and were reportedly being transported to Chennai. The arrested persons have been identified as Kabir Hossain (25), Jagir Miah (24), and Manik Miah (25).

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Agartala GRP Police Station. Authorities suspect the accused may be part of a larger drug trafficking network.

This is the second such seizure in recent days at the station. On July 2, two individuals were arrested with 6.26 kg of cannabis during a similar joint operation by GRP and RPF.
