Agartala, May 19, 2026: In a significant initiative aimed at ensuring safe and secure migration for rural youth, the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) is extending support services to candidates trained and placed under the DDU-GKY 2.0 scheme through its Migration Support Center (MSC)/Transit Center.

The MSC, operationalized by TRLM with the support of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has been set up to facilitate smooth migration and provide assistance to candidates moving outside the state for employment opportunities.

Recently, a group of DDU-GKY candidates who secured placements in Bengaluru were received by MSC officials upon their arrival at the Bengaluru Railway Station. The officials escorted the candidates to the Transit Center, where they were provided with food and accommodation facilities for three days before proceeding to their respective workplaces to join their companies.

Officials stated that the initiative is aimed at making migration safer, more secure, and hassle-free for rural youth by providing them with necessary guidance and temporary support during the transition period.

TRLM has been actively working towards empowering rural youth through skill development, placement opportunities, and post-placement support under the DDU-GKY 2.0 programme. The Migration Support Center is expected to play a crucial role in boosting confidence among candidates and ensuring their well-being as they begin their professional journeys outside the state.
