TRLM to Launch Projects Worth Rs 101.67 Crore in Agartala

Agartala, February 4, 2026: Agartala is set to organize a landmark programme under the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act in the second week of this month, aimed at boosting rural employment and livelihood opportunities across Tripura.

Ahead of the event, Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, CEO of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), held a coordination meeting with district and block officials to finalize preparations and ensure smooth execution.

At the programme, TRLM will roll out projects worth Rs 101.67 crore, marking one of the largest financial interventions in recent years. Key components include: Loan distribution to promote self-employment and livelihood ventures; Car key handover under the AGEY Scheme to strengthen rural transport and connectivity; and Community Fund disbursement of Rs 30 crore to empower grassroots institutions and collective initiatives.

Alongside TRLM projects, initiatives from the Rural Development Department, Panchayats, and allied agencies will also be inaugurated, underscoring a multi-sectoral approach to rural transformation.

Officials expect wide participation from beneficiaries, community representatives, and local institutions. The programme is being viewed as a milestone in Tripura’s rural development journey, combining financial empowerment with infrastructure and institutional support under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
