Agartala, June 12, 2026: Tripura Santiniketan Medical College and Hospital (TSMC&H) has expressed profound grief over the untimely death of Girls’ Hostel Caretaker Manisha Das, describing the incident as a tragic loss for the institution.
In a statement issued on behalf of the college, TSMC&H President Malay Pit said the entire institutional family was deeply shocked and saddened by the unfortunate incident that occurred on Wednesday night.
“Manisha Das was not merely an employee; she was a valued member of our institutional family who carried out her responsibilities with dedication and sincerity,” Pit said, extending heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family. He emphasized that the dignity, respect and well-being of every employee remain of utmost importance to the institution and assured full cooperation with the administration and investigating agencies to ascertain the true circumstances surrounding her death.
Echoing the sentiment, the college authorities stated that Das had earned the trust and respect of colleagues and students alike through her responsible and humane approach to work. Her sudden demise, they said, has left the entire campus community deeply shocked and grief-stricken.
The institution has pledged to stand by her family during this difficult period and provide all necessary assistance on humanitarian grounds.
