Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal Meets NGOs & Community Leaders In Mizoram

Mamit, May 12: The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, held an interaction meeting with representatives of leading NGOs and community leaders at the Tourist Lodge in Mamit on Tuesday.

During the session, the Minister engaged with leaders from prominent civil society organisations including MHIP, YMA, MUP, Village Council, and MZP. The representatives presented their concerns and challenges related to welfare and development in the district.

Responding to the issues raised, Arjun Ram Meghwal reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to supporting the people of Mizoram. He assured that necessary assistance would be extended wherever required and emphasized that addressing public grievances and strengthening governance remain among the government’s top priorities. The Minister acknowledged the vital role played by NGOs and community-based organisations in fostering social harmony and advancing development initiatives.

The programme was attended by Suvigya S. Chandra, Deputy Commissioner of Mamit district, and Manny Bhushan Singh, Superintendent of Police. Both officials assured the gathering that the district administration and police department are dedicated to resolving public grievances effectively and in a timely manner.
