A 15-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad went missing on Wednesday after she reportedly fell into a waterfall in Meghalaya’s Sohra while taking photographs.

The incident occurred at Wei Sawdong Falls, a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beauty. According to officials, the teenager was on vacation with her family when she slipped and fell into one of the deep natural pools at the site.

Rescue teams launched an extensive search operation throughout the day, but no trace of the girl was found. The operation was suspended after sunset and is expected to resume. Authorities said efforts are being coordinated to locate her, though the terrain and water depth have posed significant challenges.
