Kohima, Dec 27: Nagaland Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along on Saturday said the legacy of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee continues to inspire politicians toward good governance.

Along attended the Atal Smriti Sammelan organized by the BJP Manipur unit at its headquarters in Thambal Sanglen, Imphal, where he met several legislators and party functionaries. In a post on X, he said, “Glad to attend the Atal Smriti Sammelan organised by BJP Manipur Pradesh at Thambal Sanglen, remembering the enduring vision, values, and statesmanship of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. His legacy continues to inspire our commitment to nation-first governance.”

Former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, who met Along during the event, described the interaction as “friendly and meaningful” and said they discussed the Northeast’s shared culture, people, and unique strengths. Singh praised Vajpayee’s contributions to nation-building, infrastructure development, and democratic governance, noting that they have left an “indelible mark on India’s history,” and reaffirmed the commitment to uphold Vajpayee’s values and work for public welfare.
