Agartala, May 14, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Mandal Training Campaign 2026, kicking off a two-day training programme for BJP workers of the 8-Town Baradowali Mandal.
Organised as part of a statewide outreach initiative, the campaign seeks to strengthen the BJP’s organisational framework at the grassroots by preparing party workers for future electoral challenges and enhancing ideological awareness and discipline. Based on the principle of “Antyodaya” — ensuring the welfare of the last person in society — the workshop features sessions on the BJP’s journey, ideological principles, and the achievements of the double-engine government at both the central and state levels.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Dr. Saha said, “The training programme for karyakartas at the mandal level has started today. Though such camps are conducted annually, this time the initiative will cover all mandals, followed by district, state, and booth-level training. Along with awareness about government schemes, workers will also be guided on leadership qualities and serving society beyond politics and elections.”
State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, who was also present at the programme, underlined the importance of the workshops in building a stronger organisation. “Such training sessions are crucial for nurturing organisational discipline, ideological commitment, and the spirit of service among party workers,” he remarked.
The launch of the campaign is being seen as a major organisational exercise aimed at expanding the BJP’s grassroots network across Tripura while grooming leadership and strengthening the party cadre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
