In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles along with the Excise and Narcotics Department launched a joint operation on Sunday, and recovered a massive stash of Methamphetamine Tablets worth over Rs. 3 Crores from General Area of Tuifarfep Culvert in World Bank Road.
Based on specific inputs, the paramilitary troop in association with the sleuths of Narcotics Department launched a joint operation and recovered the contraband substances from the possession of three individuals, including a Myanmar national.
According to an official press release, the team noticed the movement of the suspected vehicle. During the raid of vehicles, nearly 10,000 Methamphetamine tablets were seized by the joint team.
The two apprehended individuals, include – Laldingliana, a Myanmar national; and Lalhmunlumia, a resident of Bethlehem Veng.
