Agartala, September 04, 2024: The Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Tripura on Tuesday released the list of schools to be awarded for their exceptional performance on the occasion of the 63rd Teachers’ Day. The selected schools will be honored in a state-level celebration scheduled for September 5, 2024.
The schools were recognized for their significant contributions to student development and overall excellence in various categories. The awards were distributed across several categories, such as attendance, examination results, games and sports, cultural activities, cleanliness, and implementation of national programs.
The awarded schools are as follows: Best School for Attendance: Bhagat Singh English Medium HS School, West Tripura; and Ramesh HS School (TBSE), Gomati Tripura. Best School in Results in Final Examinations Conducted by Board (TBSE & CBSE): Umakanta Academy English Medium School (CBSE), West Tripura; and Ramkrishna Mission Vidyalaya (CBSE), Khowai Tripura. Best School in Games & Sports: PM Shri Bharat Sardar HS School, Khowai Tripura; and Udaipur English Medium HS School, Gomati Tripura. Best School in Cultural & Co-curricular Activities: Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ HS School, West Tripura; Best School in Implementation of PM POSHAN: Chandrapur Government HS School, North Tripura; and Belkumabari HS School, Unakoti Tripura. Best School Swachhata: Chandranagar High School, Sepahijala Tripura; and Muhuripur Girls High School, South Tripura. Best School in Information Technology: Nabagram HS School, West Tripura; and Bamanchara English Medium HS School, Dhalai Tripura. Best School for Overall Performance: Sukanta Academy English Medium School, West Tripura. Best Government Degree College/Professional College: Women’s College, Agartala, West Tripura. Best Polytechnic Institute: TTAADC Polytechnic, Khumulwng, West Tripura.
Additionally, eight schools were also nominated for the Best Green Fencing under Mission 555. These schools include: Sammilita High School, Dukli, West Tripura; Khupilong High School, Udaipur, Gomati Tripura; 3. Haridasram RH High School, Sepahijala Tripura; Ratanpur High School, Jampuijala, Sepahijala Tripura; Barua Kandi Colony HS School, Dharmanagar, North Tripura; North Nalchhara High School, Ambassa, Dhalai Tripura; Asharambari HS School, Khowai Tripura; and Dudhpur High School, Kumarghat, Unakoti Tripura
The award ceremony will be held on September 5, 2024, where the principals and heads of the selected schools will be present to receive their awards. This initiative by the Tripura Government highlights the state’s commitment to enhancing educational standards and recognizing the efforts of schools contributing to the overall development of students.
