An earthquake of magnitude 2.9 struck Karbi Anglong in Assam on the night of November 29-30, 2024. The tremor, which occurred at around 2:40 AM, was recorded by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 25 km in the Karbi Anglong region, with coordinates at 26.23 N latitude and 92.83 E longitude. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received, and local authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
