Gangtok, Dec 18: Minister of Roads and Bridges, NB Dahal, chaired a meeting of the Gangtok District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) at the District Administrative Centre (DAC) conference hall today.

The meeting was attended by Tushar Nikhare, District Collector of Gangtok, officials from the DAC, and representatives from various allied departments.

During the meeting, presentations were made on the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen (SBM-G) Phase II and the Jal Jeevan Mission, highlighting achievements, ongoing initiatives, and challenges faced at the grassroots level.

Minister Dahal emphasized the importance of collaborative governance, collective responsibility, and professional commitment. He urged officials to work sincerely, utilize their time effectively, and contribute meaningfully to state development.

Tushar Nikhare instructed officials to submit monthly progress reports and stressed the importance of accountability and adherence to project timelines.

The meeting also discussed the upcoming “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, a nationwide governance initiative aimed at enhancing public service delivery, which is set to launch on December 19, 2024.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Collector Gangtok.
