Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh expressed his honor in being part of the 72nd Plenary Session of the North East Council, held under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and with the esteemed presence of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister highlighted the collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring a brighter and more secure future for the region.
“I am confident that the discussions and resolutions from this plenary will pave the way for enhanced cooperation and progress, ensuring a brighter future for the people of the entire Northeast,” CM Biren stated.
Emphasizing the Northeast’s significance as the “Ashta Lakshmi of India,” the Chief Minister credited the transformative “Act East, Act Fast, Act First” policy spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that this approach is driving growth, connectivity, and empowerment across the region.
The session underscored the commitment of both the central and state leadership to the sustained development and prosperity of the Northeast.
