Aizawl, Feb 20: Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma inaugurated the Federation Enclave Sample Flat and Community Centre at Ainawn Veng, Aizawl, on 19th February 2025.

In his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted the Federation Enclave’s role in the urban development of Mizoram, noting that initiatives like this will help shape Aizawl into a well-planned city in the future. He expressed his optimism for the successful completion of the housing complex.

Pu Hmingchungnunga, Chairman of the Mizoram Government Employee Housing Society, and Er. R. Lalrammawia, President of FMGE&W, also addressed the attendees. They discussed the challenges faced by government employees in securing housing due to frequent transfers and postings. To address this, the housing complex aims to provide affordable homes to these employees through loan financing, with the government providing the land.

The project, developed in collaboration with FMGE&W and Blue Mountain Engineering & Services Limited, will feature approximately 350 housing units and accommodate around 2,000 residents. The complex is expected to be completed by 2027, with bookings now open. For the first year, the flats will be available exclusively to government employees. After one year, the units will be open for purchase by the general public.

The Chief Minister inspected the Sample Flat and announced the commencement of mass bookings for interested buyers. The prices for the flats (exclusive of GST) are:

2BHK: ₹47 lakh

3BHK: ₹60 lakh

4BHK: ₹77 lakh

The Federation Enclave project marks a significant development in Mizoram’s urban housing sector, aiming to provide quality, affordable homes to government employees and other residents.
