Police have arrested one more individual for allegedly expressing sympathy towards Pakistan, raising the total number of such arrests in the state to 79 since the Pahalgam terror attack last month, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Farijul Haque, a resident of Mangaldai in Darrang district.
“Crackdown on pro-Pakistani sympathisers. Total arrests made: 79,” Sarma posted on social media platform X.
