Kohima, Jun 10: The National Highway Area Village Councils’ Forum, representing 13 villages located along the four-lane National Highway 29, has called for a six-hour “Shutters Down” protest on June 11.

The shutdown will be observed from 6:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with black flags to be displayed in front of shops and business establishments in the area.

According to the Forum, the bandh is being organized to express strong resentment over the May 23 attack at Unity Village and to raise long-standing concerns related to ceasefire violations and the alleged inaction of law enforcement agencies.
