Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday performed the Bhoomipujan ceremony to lay the foundation stone for Phase II of the North Lakhimpur Town Water Supply Scheme.

The project, estimated to cost ₹65 crore, will cover 12 wards under the North Lakhimpur Municipal Board and is expected to benefit approximately 7,013 families.
