Kohima, July 2: SFS Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, and Government High School (GHS) Meriema have won the State Level Pre-Subroto Football Tournament 2025 in their respective categories. The tournament was held on Tuesday at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

SFS Chümoukedima secured the title in the Under-15 Boys category, while GHS Meriema clinched the championship in the Under-17 Girls category. Government Middle School, L Khel, Kohima, finished as runners-up in the girls’ category.

Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, who attended the closing ceremony as the special guest, expressed hope that the champions would bring pride to the state at the national level.

The winning teams will represent Nagaland at the 64th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament to be held in Bengaluru and New Delhi.
