The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), along with its subordinate units, organized a Candlelight March on Thursday at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, and at all District Congress Committee Bhavans across the state.

According to the NPCC Communications Department, the event was part of a nationwide initiative by Congress units and party workers to voice strong opposition to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls being conducted in Bihar under the direction of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The NPCC described the SIR in Bihar as politically motivated, alleging it aims to manipulate voter lists and disenfranchise legitimate voters while favoring certain political interests. The party urged the Election Commission of India to immediately halt the SIR process in Bihar.
