Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma formally inaugurated the H&B Water Park at Liando Resorts, Sakawrtuichhun, on Friday. The park was established by the family of R. Tlanghmingthanga.

In his address, the Chief Minister noted that Mizoram now has a large and modern water park comparable to some of the best facilities in India’s North-East. He said the park provides an opportunity for families and children to enjoy recreational activities within the state, reducing the need to travel to other states for such experiences.

R. Liansangkima, in a brief technical note, recalled that the idea of setting up a water park in Mizoram originated nearly ten years ago during a visit to Nicco Park’s ‘Wet n Wild’ in Kolkata. After five years of planning and preparation, the park has now become a reality. He said the facility is intended for recreation, relaxation, and wellness for the people of Mizoram.

Although the park had been operational on a soft-launch basis, Friday marked its formal inauguration by the Chief Minister.
