Agartala, November 27, 2025: Panic gripped Udaipur town on Thursday evening after the bullet-riddled bodies of a young man and woman were found inside a Honda Amaze car near the Holakhet rail bridge in Gomati district.

Locals rushed to the scene after hearing gunshots and spotted the duo lying in a pool of blood inside the vehicle. Fire service personnel were alerted immediately. They initially pulled the young man out, assuming he was alive, and rushed him to the district hospital. Doctors, however, declared him dead on arrival. Police later recovered the woman’s lifeless body from the back seat of the car.

Senior district police officials reached the spot soon after the incident was reported. RK Pur police station has launched an investigation, though the circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear. Authorities are probing whether the case involves murder or suicide.

Police sources identified the deceased man as Julus Mia, a resident of Kakraban. The woman’s identity has not yet been disclosed. The shocking recovery has triggered widespread speculation and unrest across Udaipur.

A forensic team examined the vehicle and collected preliminary samples. Investigators also recovered a firearm from inside the car. Officials stated that further clarity will emerge only after reviewing CCTV footage, call records, and forensic reports.
