Agartala, February 12, 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday unveiled a key publication titled “Strategic Approach to Industrial Development in Tripura”, prepared by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), at a programme held in the conference hall of the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT).

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described the document as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at transforming the industrial estates of the state by addressing existing structural challenges while leveraging emerging opportunities. He said the strategic framework outlines a clear direction for strengthening industrial infrastructure, improving competitiveness, and fostering sustainable industrial growth in Tripura.

Dr. Saha stated that the proposed way forward would enable industries in Tripura to integrate more effectively into regional and global value chains. He emphasized that aligning the state’s industrial ecosystem with broader market networks would accelerate economic expansion, enhance productivity, and generate employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister expressed his sincere appreciation to the Asian Development Bank for preparing the strategic document. He specifically acknowledged the leadership of ADB Country Director Ms. Mio Oka and thanked all stakeholders involved in drafting the framework for their collaborative efforts.

Industries and Commerce minister Santana Chakma, Secretary Kiran Gitte, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, senior officials, representatives of industrial bodies, and other stakeholders were present at the programme.
