Kohima, May 18: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav today emphasized the need to improve learning outcomes and strengthen school governance across the state. Chairing a high-level review meeting of the School Education Department at Lok Bhavan in Kohima, he urged officials to ensure effective implementation of educational programmes and reforms.

During the meeting, officials presented updates on efforts to enhance data-driven governance through the Education Management Information System.

Discussions also covered the distribution of free textbooks, uniforms, and learning materials in government schools, alongside the implementation of the PM-POSHAN scheme. Progress under the Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse, known as NECTAR, was also reviewed.
