Prem Singh Tamang on Thursday expressed pride after Narendra Modi presented pressed orchid paintings and orchid paperweights inspired by Sikkim’s rich biodiversity to Jonas Gahr Støre during a diplomatic engagement.
In a statement, Tamang said it was a matter of great pride for Sikkim that the Himalayan state’s natural beauty and biodiversity found a place in global diplomacy. He thanked Modi for bringing Sikkim’s orchid heritage and traditional craftsmanship to international attention.
