NFR Officer Swept Away By River Currents In Arunachal Pradesh Found Dead After Three Days

Subhendu Kumar Choudhary, Principal Chief Security Officer of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), was found dead on Wednesday, three days after being swept away by the strong currents of the Lohit River in Arunachal Pradesh. His body was discovered approximately 20 kilometers downstream from the site of the incident, near Parshuram Kund.

Choudhary had been missing since Sunday afternoon after being swept away while on duty. Despite extensive search efforts, it took three days for his body to be recovered.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic demise of Subhendu Kumar Choudhary,” said Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of NFR.

The incident has deeply saddened the NFR community, with authorities and colleagues extending their condolences.
