Itanagar, Feb 4: A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday morning, officials said. There have been no immediate reports of injuries or property damage.
The National Centre for Seismology recorded the tremor at 8:57 am, noting a shallow depth of 5 km. Nyelam Sunil, technical officer at the Itanagar-based Centre for Earth Science and Himalayan Studies’ seismology division, confirmed that the mild quake affected the district.
“So far, there is no report of loss of life or damage to property,” Sunil said.
