Itanagar, April 17, 2026: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday reiterated his government’s commitment to merit-based governance while distributing appointment letters to 461 candidates selected through the Combined Secondary Level Examination (CSLE) 2025.
The examination was conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) on October 25, 2025, attracting 47,132 applicants for Group C and Group D posts across 26 departments, including seven Deputy Commissioner offices.
Addressing the newly appointed recruits, Khandu said the government aims to build a system where merit is respected, hard work is rewarded, and honesty remains non-negotiable. He congratulated the candidates on their selection, attributing their success to dedication and perseverance, and expressed confidence that they would contribute to the state’s development goals.
The Chief Minister also praised the APSSB for conducting what he described as a transparent recruitment process and referred to ongoing administrative reforms aimed at ensuring fairness and equal opportunity in government hiring. He further described government employees as the “permanent institutional framework” of governance.
According to officials, Scheduled Tribe candidates secured 39 unreserved posts in this recruitment cycle, indicating increased competition across categories.
Khandu also encouraged the new recruits to adopt emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. He directed departments to collaborate with the Administrative Training Institute to provide technology-oriented training for employees.
