Itanagar, May 6: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (Retd) has Emphasized the importance of strict adherence to timelines in infrastructure projects and urged the adoption of advanced technologies such as geospatial tools and artificial intelligence to strengthen governance.
Chairing a review meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday, Parnaik stressed that meticulous planning and efficient execution are vital to ensure development initiatives deliver results without delays or cost overruns. He Emphasized the transformative role of technology in enabling real-time monitoring, enhancing security assessments, and supporting informed decision-making.
The governor also sought government support for social initiatives, including the promotion of amateur photo clubs, mapping of orphanages, and assistance to NGOs such as Let’s Speak Arunachal. On security matters, Parnaik and Khandu reviewed the law-and-order situation in the Tirap–Changlang–Longding districts and emphasized the need for early implementation of border fencing to bolster national security and public confidence.
Discussions further covered youth empowerment, tourism promotion, encouragement of sports and games, and intensifying cleanliness drives across the state. The meeting included a comprehensive review of Arunachal Pradesh’s development trajectory, with particular focus on monsoon preparedness and timely execution of ongoing projects. Khandu apprised the governor of the various developmental activities currently being undertaken by the state government.
