Itanagar, May 22: In a move aimed at strengthening local community engagement, Member of Parliament Tapir Gao inaugurated the Damro Damey Musup (Community Hall) at Damro in Upper Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The facility is intended to support community events, grassroots planning, and socio-economic development in the region.
The inauguration event was attended by several prominent political figures, including MLAs Talem Taboh, Oni Panyang, Tapi Darang, Puinnyo Apum, and Oken Tayeng, along with former MLAs Basu Perme and Shri Ralom Borang. Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang, Superintendent of Police Saring, Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs), Heads of Departments (HoDs), Gaonburahs, Ponungs, and members of the general public were also present.
The Damro Damey Musup is not only a traditional structure but also a representation of the local cultural heritage and ancestral legacy. MP Tapir Gao expressed his pride in inaugurating the hall, describing it as a significant symbol of communal unity and identity.
