Arunachal Pradesh’s para-athlete Boje Marbom has been selected to represent India at the 5th Asian Para Games 2026, scheduled to be held in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan. The selection has drawn widespread praise from Arunachal Pradesh’s leadership.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his “heartiest congratulations” to Marbom and wished him “outstanding success” at the Games. “May he continue to shine on the international stage and bring glory to India and Arunachal Pradesh,” Khandu said.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also lauded the achievement, calling it a testament to Marbom’s “firm determination, perseverance, and sporting excellence.”
“His journey serves as an inspiration to countless young athletes across Arunachal Pradesh and the nation,” Mein said, adding, “Wishing him the very best for the Games. The entire state stands firmly behind him in this proud moment.”
The 5th Asian Para Games will be held in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan, in 2026. Marbom’s selection marks another milestone for Arunachal Pradesh in para sports.
