Agartala, May 15, 2026: The 21 Sector of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of the Spear Corps, organised a seminar on the theme “Military–Civil Fusion” at Agartala with the objective of strengthening inter-agency coordination, collaborative governance and institutional synergy in Tripura and the North Eastern region.

The seminar brought together senior officials from the civil administration, security forces and the Armed Forces for detailed deliberations on contemporary security and governance challenges facing the region.

The Governor of Tripura attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Among the senior dignitaries who addressed the gathering were the Director General of Police of Tripura Police, the Inspector General of the Border Security Force, the Home Secretary of the Government of Tripura and senior Army officers.

During the seminar, speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional coordination and enhancing cooperation among various stakeholders to effectively address emerging security and developmental challenges in the Northeast.

The discussions focused on preparing a comprehensive roadmap for greater inter-agency cooperation in key areas such as border management, internal security, disaster response, maintenance of law and order, and developmental initiatives. Emphasis was also laid on the significance of civil-military fusion in ensuring peace, stability and inclusive growth in Tripura and across the North Eastern region.

The seminar concluded with participating agencies reaffirming their collective commitment towards building a robust framework of cooperation and coordinated response mechanisms for the overall security and development of the region.
