Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a review meeting with officials of NEEPCO at the Ranganadi Power Plant in Lilabari, Lakhimpur, to assess the worsening flood situation caused by continuous rainfall and the release of dam water.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed phased release of water from the dam, emphasized early flood alerts, and stressed the need for close coordination with the district administration to manage the situation effectively.
