Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday expressed gratitude to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his congratulatory message after Sikkim was declared a Fully Literate State under the ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram.

The Chief Minister said the recognition reflects the collective efforts of educators, volunteers, officials, and citizens in achieving the milestone.

He noted that the literacy initiative is being implemented under the national framework of the ULLAS programme, which is associated with the Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Tamang thanked the Union Education Minister for the encouragement and said the state will continue working to strengthen education and literacy initiatives in the future.
