Electoral Roll Revision Drive Progresses With 3605 Forms Distributed In Sikkim

Gyalshing, June 5: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of Electoral Rolls, initiated by the Election Commission of India to maintain an accurate and updated voter list, is steadily progressing in Gyalshing District. Booth Level Officers have been conducting house-to-house visits across polling station areas to distribute and collect Enumeration Forms as part of the campaign.

On the seventh day of the exercise, a total of 3605 forms had been distributed across the district by 5 pm. The Assembly Constituency-wise figures include 740 forms in Yuksam Tashiding, 849 in Yangthang, 1338 in Maneybong Dentam, and 678 in Gyalshing Bernyak. The verification and distribution drive will continue until June 28, 2026, ensuring that every household is reached.

Electors are encouraged to carefully check details such as their name, age, address, photograph, EPIC number, and family particulars before submitting the completed forms. The Election Commission has urged citizens to cooperate fully with Booth Level Officers during the verification process and to submit their forms within the stipulated timeline.
