Agartala, May 12, 2026: The Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, presented the Governor’s Unit Citation to 637 SATA Battery of the Artillery Regiment under Spear Corps during a solemn ceremony held at Lok Bhawan, Tripura on 11 May 2026.

The unit was conferred the citation in recognition of its exceptional service, unwavering dedication and distinguished contribution towards peace, security and operational readiness. The award was received on behalf of the Battery by the Commanding Officer and Subedar Major.

The Governor’s Citation stands as a distinguished recognition of the Battery’s unwavering commitment to service to the nation and its meaningful efforts in fostering trust and enduring goodwill with the local populace. 637 SATA Battery has not only ensured surveillance and security along the nation’s frontiers but has also conducted several community welfare initiatives to promote civil-military fusion.

The honour is a proud recognition of the unit’s devotion to duty, discipline and exemplary service in the finest traditions of the Indian Army.
