Agartala, June 11, 2025: Tripura Minister Santana Chakma on Wednesday highlighted the significant achievements of the eleven years tenure under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking in a press conference at Ambassa, Minister Chakma said, “This period of 11 years will be written in golden letters in the history of India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s global profile has risen significantly.”
Highlighting the transformative initiatives of the Modi government, she added, “The Prime Minister’s vision is to make India number one in the world. Wherever there is development, there is service. Governance now means service, and this has become the identity of New India.”
She drew a sharp contrast with the pre-2014 period, saying, “Before 2014, the country was mired in discussions of corruption and appeasement. Today, the narrative has shifted to development and progress.”
Listing key welfare schemes, she noted, “People across the country are benefiting from the Garib Kalyan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the PM Fasal Bima Yojana.”
Chakma also pointed to major political decisions and social reforms under the Modi government, stating, “The abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A in Kashmir, the implementation of 33 percent reservation for women, and the Ayushman Bharat scheme are milestones that reflect the government’s commitment to national integration and welfare.”
She emphasized the special focus given to the North-East, saying, “Development in the North-East, once unimaginable, is now a reality due to the Modi government’s consistent efforts.”
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government, and our state government are tirelessly working for the welfare of people in every part of the country,” Chakma concluded.
The press conference was themed around “Seva, Sushasan aur Garib Kalyan” (Service, Good Governance and Welfare of the Poor), was also attended by BJP Tripura Pradesh Committee Vice President Tapas Bhattacharya, Pradesh Committee members Tapas Roy and Jahar Lal Saha and Dhalai District President Pratiram Tripura.
