Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Monday that National People’s Party (NPP) and Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA 2) candidate James Sangma has filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

In a statement, Conrad Sangma said that James Sangma reaffirmed his commitment to serve as a strong voice for Meghalaya and its people in the national capital.

The Chief Minister added that the party extended its support and best wishes to James Sangma as he begins the process for the Rajya Sabha election.
