At least three people were killed and several others injured after suspected armed militants ambushed two vehicles in Kangpokpi district of Manipur on Wednesday.
According to local sources, the attack took place between Kotzim and Kotlen villages when armed assailants allegedly intercepted the vehicles and opened fire on the occupants.

Sources said the victims were church leaders travelling in the two vehicles at the time of the attack. Several injured persons were rushed to nearby medical facilities, although the exact number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.

Following the incident, security forces reportedly rushed to the area and launched a search operation. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the identities of the victims or the group responsible for the attack.
