Agartala, May 16, 2026: Senior officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority on May 11 last reviewed the progress of the ambitious Light House Project in Agartala and directed the executing agency to ensure its timely completion.
According to a press release issued by TUDA, Kuldip Narayan, Joint Secretary of MoHUA, R. K. Gautam, Deputy Director General (DDG), MoHUA, along with other officials of the ministry, visited the project site on May 11 at around 9 AM.
The visiting delegation also included Dr. Milind Ramteke, Megha Jain, Mihir Kanti Gop and other officials of TUDA, besides Ajoy Shah, Managing Director of Mitsumi Housing Pvt. Ltd., the construction agency of the project.
Following the site inspection, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Joint Secretary, MoHUA, where detailed discussions took place regarding the early completion of the Light House Project.
During the meeting, it was informed that a target has been fixed to complete Ovo Blocks A and F before June 15, 2026. The construction agency assured the officials that it would comply with the directions issued by the Joint Secretary, MoHUA.
The agency further assured that Blocks E and G would be completed by September 30, 2026, while efforts are being made to complete the remaining blocks at the earliest possible time, the TUDA release added.
