Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Monday inaugurated an Incubation Centre for Food Processing at the State Industrial Area, Toluvi.
The centre is aimed at supporting farmers and entrepreneurs in converting agricultural produce into processed goods for wider markets. It is expected to provide training, skill development, and infrastructure support for small and emerging enterprises.
The Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated three additional projects across the state. These include an Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurs and Infrastructure Development at the Industrial Growth Centre in Ganeshnagar, Chümoukedima; an Incubation Centre for Food Processing in Tuensang; and a Modern Aggregation Centre in Longnak, Mokokchung.
According to the statement, these projects are intended to strengthen local entrepreneurship, improve value addition in agricultural produce, and create employment opportunities closer to villages.
The initiatives have been implemented under support from the Government of India through the SASCI scheme. The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the support provided under the programme. Narendra Modi leads the Government of India.
