Nagaland Signs Tripartite MoU To Strengthen Horticulture Value Chain And Farmer Inclusion

The Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, has signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Natural Fuel India, Chümoukedima, and Sathwaro Farming Group, Gujarat, to develop a sustainable horticulture value chain in the state through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The MoU was signed at the office chamber of the Commissioner & Secretary, Horticulture Department, Kohima.

Under the agreement, the partners will work on developing pineapple cultivation clusters and strengthening the production of other high-value horticultural crops, including kiwi, litchi, rambutan, and spices.

The project also proposes the establishment of solar dehydration units, cold chain infrastructure, and improved market linkages to support both domestic and export markets, with a focus on enhancing farmer participation and improving livelihood opportunities.
