Agartala, June 12, 2026: Ahead of the scheduled visit of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Chairman Dr. Meenesh C. Shah to Tripura on June 20, 2026, Chairman of Gomati Co-operative Milk Producer’s Union Limited (GCMPUL) Ratan Ghosh held an important review meeting with the Board of Directors of GCMPUL and Director of Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) Neeraj Kumar Chanchal.

The meeting focused on ensuring that the upcoming visit becomes successful, meaningful and productive for the state’s dairy sector. Discussions were held on strengthening cooperative dairy activities, improving milk production and exploring opportunities for further development of the dairy sector in Tripura.

Speaking about the preparations, Ratan Ghosh said, “The visit of the Hon’ble Chairman of NDDB Dr. Meenesh C. Shah is an important opportunity for Tripura’s dairy sector. We are committed to making the visit effective and outcome-oriented through coordinated efforts with all stakeholders.”

He added that GCMPUL will continue working towards empowering milk producers, strengthening cooperative initiatives and creating better opportunities for farmers associated with the dairy sector.

The meeting was attended by senior officials and members of the GCMPUL Board, who discussed necessary arrangements and action plans for the upcoming programme.
