Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday and extended a formal invitation for Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Day celebrations.

The Prime Minister accepted the invitation and confirmed his visit to Sikkim to attend the Golden Jubilee celebration scheduled for May 29, 2025.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful completion of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a significant achievement in the country’s efforts against terrorism.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s continued support to Sikkim and thanked him for taking time to meet and guide the delegation.

As part of the Statehood celebrations, the Chief Minister urged citizens to unite in welcoming the Prime Minister during his upcoming visit to the state.
