Security forces arrested cadres belonging to different underground outfits during separate operations conducted in Imphal East district on May 24 and 25.

On May 25, security forces arrested an active cadre of KYKL, identified as Oinam Shelung Singh alias Amuton alias Naoba (30) of Seijang Awang Leikai under Yaingangpokpi Police Station, Imphal East district, from his locality.

In another operation on the same day, security forces arrested an active cadre of KCP (PWG), identified as Md. Satibur Rahaman alias Boyai (34) of Khabeisoi Sabal Leikai under Heingang Police Station, Imphal East district, from his residence. One mobile phone was seized from his possession.

Earlier, on May 24, security forces arrested two active cadres of NRFM from Pangei Nepali Basti in Imphal East district. The arrested individuals were identified as Moirangthem Samson Meitei (28), alias Tonsana, of Moirang Thamnapokpi Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district, presently residing at Pangei Nepali Basti, and Chanambam Nabakumar Meetei (22), alias Ebungo, of Haotak Tampha Khunou Awang Leikai in Bishnupur district.

Further investigation into the cases is underway.
