Agartala, May 21, 2025: Tripura’s Animal Resource Development (ARD), Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday presided over a district-level review meeting at the Circuit House Conference Hall in Kailasahar, Unakoti district. The session brought together senior officials from the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department, Animal Resources Development Department and Fisheries Department along with public representatives from the district.

The meeting centered on reviewing the status of welfare schemes and ensuring the timely distribution of government-provided facilities for the financial year 2025–26. A comprehensive discussion was held on strategies to streamline service delivery and accelerate developmental initiatives.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Das underscored the need for prompt execution of ongoing projects and urged officials to maintain transparency and efficiency in governance. “The department is committed to achieving self-sufficiency in milk, meat, fish, and egg production. We are holding quarterly district-level meetings to monitor progress and tackle local issues,” he stated.

The minister also highlighted the importance of ensuring that Scheduled Castes Welfare schemes are reaching their intended beneficiaries effectively. He called on all departmental officials to give top priority to timely completion of assigned work and to adopt a result-oriented approach in implementing various schemes.
